ABOUT
What is Arkansas Shock Network?
Vision
Over the next two years, the Arkansas Shock Network will demonstrate a meaningful reduction in cardiogenic shock mortality in Arkansas, using a proven network-based model from previous national shock initiatives.
This pilot program will save lives and improve many patients' post-discharge quality of life. It will also serve as a model for further changes that can be adopted throughout the state to generate long-term benefits for the citizens of Arkansas.
Mission
The Arkansas Shock Network (ARSN) seeks a reduction of mortality from cardiogenic shock in Arkansas. ARSN is a voluntary collaboration of physicians and hospitals who are not in direct competition with each other and agree to work together on several levels:
• Creating a shared protocol for monitoring patient hemodynamics and more quickly escalating care in cardiogenic shock cases;
• Pooling and tracking data; and
• Virtual meetings at regular intervals to review our results, discuss cases and learn from one another.
